What is an ESNcard?

ESNcard is the membership card of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN). It gives you access to all the services offered by ESN and all of our partners. With the ESNcard, you will enjoy plenty of discounts – housing, sport, food, transportation, etc. – all over Europe!

Who can get an ESNcard?

You are eligible to get you ESNcard if you belong among some of the groups mentioned here: ESNcard.org/blog/who-can-get-esncard

What discounts does the card offer & do they apply only for Pardubice?

Check all the discounts on ESNcard.org. These discounts are international, so you can enjoy them everywhere!

How much is the card and how can I pay for it?

400 CZK. You can pay by card or with cash in our ESN office. Don’t forget to bring your passport-like picture with you in order to complete your card!

How do I activate my card?

You have to register your card at ESNcard.org.

I have troubles with the Ryanair discount, help!

Activities & Events

How do I sign up for ESN Pardubice events and activities?

1. Join the WhatsApp Group Chat: If you haven’t already, join the WhatsApp group chat dedicated to ESN activities & information for the specific semester. This group chat is where you’ll find announcements, updates, and forms for signing up for events.

2. Find the Relevant Form in Artemis or WA Group Chat: Keep an eye on the group chat for announcements regarding upcoming events and activities. When you see an event you’re interested in, don’t hesitate to fill the form in.

3. Check the Event Requirements: Make sure you understand the event details, requirements, and any information needed to complete the form and to take part in the event.

4. Confirmation: After registration in Artemis, keep an eye out for any confirmation messages or updates from the event organizers. They may provide additional details about the event, or offer further instructions.

I have signed up for a trip, how can I pay?

You can come to our ESN office to pay with cash (CZK).

Can I go on a trip without the ESNcard?

For activities and events organized by ESN, you can join without an ESNcard. The ESNcard serves as a form of identification for participants during trips, ensuring a smooth and organized experience. There is usually a discount with ESN card.

Event Cancellation Policy

  • You can cancel up to 3 days before the event for 100% free of charge.
  • The booked spot can be replaced if the interested Erasmus student finds a substitute up to 72 hours before the event, 100% free of charge.
  • Cancellations and substitutions are NOT accepted outside the above mentioned deadlines.
  • If ESN Pardubice has to make a refund that involves a bank fee or any expense derived from it, ESN Pardubice will not cover this expense.
  • In case of serious illness/sickness, it is possible to make 100% refund after presenting an official confirmation from the doctor.

Dishes, cutlery, appliances and other equipment

ESN Pardubice provides a rental of basic kitchen stuff during your mobility. For a small fee you can get a set of all the necessary equipment.

Transportation

What is the best way to get around Pardubice?

  • Public Transportation: Pardubice has a public transportation system consisting of buses and trains operated by the Pardubická Městská Doprava (PMD) and České dráhy (Czech Railways) respectively. These services connect different parts of the city as well as nearby towns and villages. Public transportation is generally reliable and affordable.
  • Bicycles: Cycling is a common transportation in Pardubice, with designated bike lanes and paths throughout the city. Many residents choose to cycle to work, school, or for recreational purposes. Additionally, the city offers bike-sharing services, allowing users to rent bicycles for short-term use.
  • Walking: Pardubice is a relatively compact city, and many of its attractions, shops, and facilities are within walking distance of each other. Walking is a convenient and environmentally-friendly way to get around, especially for short distances.
  • Taxis and Ride-Sharing: Taxis are available in Pardubice and can be hailed on the street or booked in advance. Additionally, ride-sharing services like Bolt operate in the city, providing an alternative to traditional taxi services.
  • Trains: In addition to serving as a mode of public transportation within the city, trains also connect Pardubice to other cities and regions in the Czech Republic. The city’s main train station, Pardubice hlavní nádraží, provides connections to major destinations across the country.

Can I donate the stuff I don't need anymore?

YES! Just bring them to our ESN office.

Buddy system

Is there a Buddy system in ESN Pardubice?

Yes there is. We always send to our Erasmus students an email before the beginning of the semester regarding our Buddy system.
